 At a star studded event in Mumbai today, India’s second most viewed premium advertising led video-on-demand platform VOOT by Viacom18, showcased the first bundle of its upcoming VOOT Originals – 18 multi-lingual premium web series cutting across genres. In its bid to utilize the strength of storytelling that runs across Viacom18’s various businesses, VOOT has created and collaborated with various brands of the network to create bespoke content. Leveraging its prowess of creating critically and commercially successful films, Viacom18 Motion Pictures, the network’s movie studio, will now be producing web-series for VOOT, under the banner of Tipping Point Films. Furthermore, diving deeper into the regional markets of India, the Regional Broadcast Entertainment cluster of Viacom18 will be producing multi-lingual VOOT Originals specifically for the discerning digital audience. VOOT will also be adding news to its increasingly varied content offering, starting with a partnership with India’s foremost news media organization Network18. VOOT is ramping up its content and product play as it sets sight to take the platform international, beginning with the United Kingdom, in November 2018.

News on VOOT: Expanding its genre spread, VOOT will now see the addition of news on its platform with the inclusion of TV18 news. 16 live channels across 13 languages will now bring the latest in current affairs to its viewers, adding to the range and reach of the platform. 

Teching it Up: VOOT will also strengthen its engagement and user interactivity experience with superior technology adoption and innovation. Adding to the user search experience and facilitating easy discoverability will be the adoption of Google Watch Action, an industry first in APAC for premium OTT players. VOOT’s future ready platform will also enhance the content experience with the introduction of Dolby Surround Sound for all VOOT Originals, a first amongst Indian OTT Players.

aLL - The Plus Size Store in collaboration with Narendra Kumar presented the trend setting collection at Lakmé Fashion Week W/F 2018



The aLL Primero X Narendra Kumar show at Lakme Fashion Week W/F 2018 was a grand offering for all the plus size fashionistas, as it presented multiple in-trend clothing options for men and women of all shapes and sizes. Aimed at different body types (Apple, Pear, Hourglass, Rectangle and Carrot); the looks were colourful, exciting and ideal for all occasions and festivities.



With the very intriguing and quirky title “Never Hyde” Narendra Kumar ensured that his fashion recommendations would encourage men and women to never hide or conform to other’s ideas on their figures. The collection encouraged the people to feel confident in their own skin.

For added excitement and trendy touches, they brought in bright denim along with satin that was splashed with shimmering sequins.


The line of bomber and denim jackets, jeans and joggers, were complemented with tops, shirts, pants, dresses, jumpsuits and blazers. Adding a fun element to the collection, it also had printed T-shirts with photos of iconic curvy women from past eras.

Celebrities spread the message to stop ‘Behen Ki Gaali’

In a diverse and multilingual country like India, learning a new language always is adrenaline pumping. However speakers of any language range from sophisticated and civilized to uncivilized and foul. Indians, in general, are habituated to using swear words in their communication. Every region, language or social group has its own set of foul words which are widely prevalent among its speakers. Some of the foul words are however common to all. These are readily used by certain individuals, not always as a way of insulting but also sometimes as a catharsis too. One such swear word used commonly and liberally by Indians is ‘BEHENC@*&’


Proton Communications – a communications agency came up with this unique idea of celebrating Raksha-Bandhan with this social message which received the support of various celebrities. Raksha-Bandhan is usually celebrated as the day of bonding between brothers and sisters. The festival has become an occasion of national solidarity and state tradition. This Raksha-Bandhan , Proton Communications through the help of various celebrities decided to carry on various activities urging people to give up this word. This move was supported by various Bollywood and TV celebrities, radio stations and news channels. 

 


Speaking on the occasion Sonu Sood said, “I wish you a great Raksha-Bandhan ; I want a promise from all my fans to stop using ‘behen ki gaali’ and to stop other people from using it as well. Have a super year ahead.” Actress Harshali Zine who has been a part of TV shows like Diya Aur Baati Hum & Hitler Didi said; “Every brother gives some or the other gifts to his sister on this day be it chocolates, mobile phone, Jewellery etc. I urge all the brothers to stop using ‘behen ki gaali’ from this Raksha-Bandhan . This could be one of the best gifts that you can ever give to your sister." She was also a part of the on-ground activity for this campaign at Andheri Station. 

Singer Bhoomi Trivedi also gave out a strong message saying “Do you guys abuse your sisters? No. Then why use ‘behen ki gaali’. Pledge that this Raksha-Bandhan you will stop using ‘behen ki gaali’.” Actress Vindhya Tiwari who was a part of TV Shows like Naagin 2 and Sasural Simar Ka said “Raksha-Bandhan strengthens the bond of a brother-sister relationship . I want to request everyone to take a pledge to stop using ‘behen Ki gaali’ and this could be the best gift that anyone can give to all the sisters.” Actress Gauri Tonk who was a part of TV shows like Kahin Kissi Roz and Ek Boond Ishq said, “A very happy Rakshabandhan to all of you. We all love our sisters so much and can’t even bear to hear a single word against them. If you love your sister so much then why use ‘behen ki gaali’. I request all of you to stop using this swear word. Any word said with aggression helps relieve anger. Let’s pledge to stop using this word.” Comic Balraj Syal who is currently in Australia gave out this message “I wish all the brothers celebrating the festival with their sisters and those like me who are far off but still celebrating the festival in spirit a very happy Raksha-Bandhan . Let’s pledge that this Raksha-Bandhan we will not use ‘behen ki gaali’ and will motivate others also to do so.”


Actress Aashi Gaur of the TV Show ‘Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain’ commenting on the occasion said, “Wish you all a very happy Raksha-Bandhan . I am asking for the biggest gift this Raksha-Bandhan from my brother and request all you sisters out there to do the same. Brother you have given me everything, but this time I need a promise from you that you will stop using ‘behen ki gaali’ yourself and also stop others from doing it.” Actress Neha Marda said “This Raksha-Bandhan let's take an oath to stop using ‘ behen ki gaali’ and educate everyone else also. Wish you all a very happy Raksha Bandhan .” Jayesh Joshi, Maha-Mantri, Business & Industries Cell, BJP also supported the campaign and extended his full support for the noble idea. Commenting on the occasion he said “I request all brothers to stop using ‘behen ki gaali’ and stop anyone else who uses it. This could be a real gift for your sister. Jai Hind.” Poonam Dhillon, Jyotii Sethi, Anuritta Jha, Nandhish Sandhu, Sakshi Pradhan, Hritu Dudani, Raju Shisatkar also extended their support to the campaign.

Superdry hosted an exclusive party ‘Urban Street Nights’ along with b-town celebrity Yami Gautam to launch its AW’18 and SuperdrySport collection at ‘The Apartment’ by Reliance Brands Limited during the Lakme Fashion Week.



The latest season represents a collection of bold clashing colours and statement up-scaled logo prints to pull a story together in ‘Urban Street’ and create an edgy statement look. Menswear’s ‘Back in the day’ collection looks to the early 80’s New York beat box scene and old school breakdancing on flattened boxes for inspiration.




The newly introduced SuperdrySport aims to bring innovative sportswear in India to those who crave individuality and are not afraid to stand out. This season, SuperdrySport will be launched exclusively on Jabong.



Yami Gautam, one of the most beloved Bollywood actresses decided to break free from the circle of fashion shows and join us to host the coolest party of the season!



Styled in Superdry by Mohit Rai, Yami kick-started the evening by unveiling a Superdry painting inspired by the street art in Mumbai followed by a celebration of Superdry’s most popular selling vintage t-shirt. Whatever season it may be – I love Superdry! The variety of the Autumn Winter collection is amazing and the look & feel of the style & fabric is really intricately designed,” said Yami. The décor included graffiti, metal mesh and iconic Superdry fixtures which were added to bring out the theme of the season at the party.



Guests including Elnaaz Norouzi, Aalekh Kapoor, Vishwas Kinni, Mohit Rai, Hitendra Kapopara, Parikshat Wadhwani and Vaibhav Vishant were seen chatting over wine, beer & hors d’oeuvres. The rest of the night saw dancers grooving to the hip hop music and singing along to old school retro hits. It was definitely a night to remember!

The Prolific Singer, AmeyaDabli Hosted, ‘Krishnaa- Music, Bliss & Beyond’- a Soulful Music Concert to celebrate Janmashtami



With momentous performances at over 1500 concerts across 15 countries, Ameya Dabli has always been applauded as a prolific singer whose melodies connect with the inner soul. Through the platform of AD Ventures, over the years Ameya has performed for A-list social events as well as various army cantonments. On the journey towards providing the society with melodious musical experiences, AD Ventures in association with Bank of Baroda, DHFL, décor partner – Ami Kothari dining couture and beverage partner - CCD hosted Krishnaa- Music, Bliss & Beyond’- a music concert on the auspicious occasion of Janmashtami.

The evening was dedicated to melodious hymns, chants and soulful music which saw spiritual leaders, industrialists, devotees, and fans rejoicing to the tunes. Industrialist Ajay Piramal, Swati Piramal, Vice Admiral A.B. Singh and officials from the Indian Navy, spiritual leader Gaurang Das PrabhuJi from ISKCON also graced the event.

The concert commenced on a spiritual note as the dignitaries undertook the lamp-lighting ceremony. Later on, Purvi Soali(Co-Founder AD Ventures) briefed the audience about Ameya Dabli, AD Ventures, and their collaborative vision.
The harmonious session started with ‘Jai Radha Jai Kunj Bihari’, as the premier song of the evening. Popular chartbusters, Achutam Keshavam, Mara Ghat Ma, Jai Radha Madhav, KrishnaGopala, Baje re MuraliyaBaje, O PaalanHaare and Hey Govinda Hey Gopala among others; were a few other melodies that created a serene ethos. Ameya also belted out his popular chart buster‘Radhe Govinda Krishna Gopala’ which has over 25Mn hits on YouTube.


Ingenious artists like Mr. R S Mani - music arranger par excellence with movies like Veer Zara to his credit, were the overall music arranger for the show. Sanchita Garge, finalist of popular music show- Sa Re Ga Ma Pa; also sang divine songs on the beautiful occasion. With the soulful mix of songs, the event also reverberated with tuneful chants like Satnam Shri Waheguru, Ishwar Allah Tero Naam, Amazing grace and many more.
 Throughout the concert, every member of the audience was deeply mesmerized and taken to a world of glorious musical enchantment. The session marked its end with a song Har deshmeintu, Har Bhesh main tu in Bhairavi raag. Post this, with a thunderous applause, the audience showed their gratitude for the maestros: Chintoo Singh on Guitar, Tejas Vinchurkar on Flute, Girish Vishwa on Dholak,  Jayesh Dhargalkar on Tabla, Umashankar Shukla on Sitar, Vipul Samani on Keyboard, Pratap Ji – Percussionist,  Kajal Visaria - Singer,  Prasad Chavan - Singer (Chorus), Priyanka Jhadav - Singer (Chorus), Sanchita Garge - Singer (Chorus) and Neha Rane - Singer (Chorus).
As a departing thought, Ameya Dabli said, “Music is not only an art form but also a form of worship. It provides an individual with the ability to emote, communicate and share experiences. We hope to create more music that will give listeners an extraordinary experience.”
