Inspired by the
move towards demonetization that is set to alter the paradigm of the
Indian economy, designer Althea Krishna associated with India’s leading
fashion talent and tech platform, 6Degree has
launched a brand new collection. Her quirky line of clothes has been
created using the print of the old 500 and 1000 rupee notes combined
with the fresh colours of the newly introduced currency. The collection
pays a tribute to the outmoded notes for enabling
so many transactions and fulfilling so many dreams until November 2016
while simultaneously looking to the future by infusing hints of the new
currency.

collection has been created using 60% organic cotton weft and 40% Tussar
silk warp for the sheen. The fine silhouettes depicted in vintage style
are ideal for every age group to adorn during
the summer season.

am anxious and excited to exhibit my latest collection at Lakme Fashion Week. All my designs have traditional Indian roots and bold cuts. I hope my bold and edgy collection is appreciated.Ever
since the move of demonetizing INR 500 and 1000 notes was announced, I
have been inspired to come out with my new collection. Moreover, since
summer is around the corner, I thought it would be a good idea to start
it with a collection that is wearable and
also has a touch of vintage to it".
