aLL-THE PLUS SIZE STORE’S SHOW AT LAKMÉ FASHION WEEK WINTER/FESTIVE 2019
Lakmé Fashion Week and the pioneers of plus size fashion in India, aLL-The Plus Size Store, hosted plus size auditions at Taj Mansingh in Delhi today. 21 chosen winners will walk for the fourth edition of India’s plus size fashion show at the upcoming edition of Lakmé Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2019.
aLL-The Plus Size Store is collaborating with ace designer Rina Dhaka, who is designing ‘aLL PRIMERO’, part of their Autumn Winter’19 Collection, which will be showcased with a plus size fashion show at the upcoming Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2019. and will later be available in stores. The collection will be classy and comfortable, designed to meet the fashion needs of the plus-size customer.
The jury comprised TV presenter and entrepreneur – Archana Vijaya, Fashion Designer – Rina Dhaka, Show Choreographer – Anu Ahuja, Business Head, aLL – The Plus Size Store – Rajeev Singh, and Head of Designer Relations, IMG Reliance - Nikhita Punja Bhimjyani.
Almost 200 participants from across the country came in for the audition. 21 winners were chosen to walk the ramp, of which 16 were women and 5 were men. The winners were selected by the esteemed panel after 2 competitive rounds.
Archana Vijaya, TV presenter and entrepreneur said, “I am super excited to have had the chance to be a part of the aLL plus size auditions with Lakme Fashion Week. It was an inspiring evening for me. We had some immensely proud, confident and body-positive individuals participating today and it has been an incredible experience.”
Rina Dhaka, Designer added, “I’m really looking forward to this show, as it’s the first time I’m showcasing Fall’19 story as a Plus Size Parade with aLL at Lakme Fashion Week. I have loved every minute of this journey.
Anu Ahuja, Show Choreographer said, “I’ve been a part of several auditions organized by Lakme Fashion Week in the past, however, this was my first time at the Plus Size Auditions. It was an incredible experience. The joy, confidence, and energy that each of the participants showcased, was simply amazing. I am going home with a big smile on my face.”
