Glamorous diva Malaika Arora Khan walked the ramp for Designer Rebecca Dewan today at Arth, Aalia Hospitality’s Lounge Bar designed by none other than Gauri Khan. The event featured the launch of the designer’s extravagant and glamourous Spring-Summer, 2018 Collection, ‘Songs of Summer’, inspired by the subtropical flower Bougainvillea. With personalities from the glamour world including Sushmita Sen who was Rebecca Dewan’s first show stopper, Mandira Bedi, Dino Morea, Nidhhi Agerwal, Sonal Chauhan, Neha Sharma, Manasi Scott, Shibani Dandekar, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Nisha Jamvwal, Deepshikha Deshmukh and more, this event was celebrated with much fanfare. TV anchor Tanvi Shah was the emcee and looked lovely in a blue dress by Rebecca Dewan.

With luxury at the heart of every collection, from exquisitely hand-embroidered bridal wear that is intricately embellished by skilled artisans, to timeless and elegant heritage pieces, Rebecca Dewan presents a graceful collection with an edgy yet feminine recherché. Featuring a riot of textures, coupled with splashes of soft, unique tints, and bespoke prints, the collection announces itself with an exuberant burst, injecting vivacity into the silhouettes with an upbeat colour palette, glamorous yet energetic. An assortment in monochromes alludes to a sense of resoluteness with commanding shades of the earth.

Says Malaika, “I am delighted to be the show stopper for the launch of Rebecca Dewan’s spring-summer collection 2018 “Songs of Summer” at Mumbai’s hottest dining destination - Arth. Songs of Summer by Rebecca Dewan is a dreamy collection inspired by the vibrant summer bougainvillea. It’s a very feminine collection and I like Rebecca’s use of asymmetrical silhouettes and flowy chiffon’s & satins in the collection. Here’s wishing Rebecca all the very best.”

Says Rebecca, “Flowers and women are two of God’s loveliest creations and this collection celebrates both. The bougainvillea leitmotif flows through the collection in the detailing, or colour or embroidery. Flowy, light silhouettes, make the collection perfect for this time of the year.”
